Our monthly meetings are scheduled for the first Tuesday of the month 6:30 - 7 social time / speaker at 7 PM. Locations may vary.
Meetings feature lectures and demonstrations from veternarians, trainers and other equine experts discussing out favorite topic - HORSES.

EIDEA has been invited to hold their October meeting at Willow Springs.Teaching Your Horse Made Plain and Simple
Willow Springs’ staff will present a teaching method that is simple to learn and easy to do. EIDEA members Mary Hansen and Lois Pienkos have graciously volunteered their horses and themselves to demonstrate the methods used. There are two terrific lessons that will be demonstrated: “Head position from the ground”, helpful for putting on the bridle or ear clipping, and “Standing still for the rider to mount”.
Bring a chair. Refreshments will be provided.
Directions to get to Willow Springs: Going north from Cedar Rapids on I-380 take the Urbana exit #41. Immediately past the “bp” truck stop, turn left on N. Union Ave. Follow Union Ave. (W26) through town about a mile and turn left onto 56th St. Trail. Then turn left again onto 56th St. Drive. Willow Springs is the second drive on the right.
